Making Christmas Magic.

This month has been hectic and time flew by quickly. In a few days, a new year will begin! We were busy with getting ready for the holidays and shopping, but we also took the time to show our little one the joy of Christmas. Our traditions may not be extravagant, but they are meaningful. When I was young, I didn't have many memories of traditions, apart from decorating our Christmas tree and preparing Noche Buena. I hope these simple moments will be cherished memories for our family in the future.

Getting into the Spirit:

Collecting Christmas Globes: We started a tradition of adding a new Christmas globe to our collection each year. These little globes hold big memories, capturing the magic of each holiday season.

Stockings: As a child, I never had stockings for Christmas. I want to start this tradition with our daughter by hanging stockings on the wall and filling them with gifts from Santa. This year, I bought stockings from Target and a personalized one from Amazon. I put her ballet shoes and lip balm from H&M inside. It may be small, but it's a fun surprise! She really enjoys using lip balm now.

Family Matching Pajamas: This year, we bought matching pajamas for our family. They're not your typical Christmas-themed ones, but they're all the same color, plain, so we can wear them even after Christmas. My husband has a slightly lighter shade, haha.

Fun-Filled Festivities with Our Toddler:

Sending Love with Cards: During the holidays, we like to stay connected with our loved ones by sending Christmas cards. I enjoyed making them myself, using Canva to edit our family photo, customize the labels to save money. DIY!

Santa's Snack: On Christmas morning, I put a cookie by the tree. When our daughter woke up, she found a half-eaten cookie and believed it was Santa's doing. It was truly magical and I hope she continues to believe in Santa.

Advent Calendar Pack: Besides Disney Frozen, she also enjoys watching Bluey. We bought it for her with the idea of opening one each day until Christmas Eve. But we ended up opening all of them early!

Cookie Decorations: With cookie kits and store-bought treats, it's easy and cheap to make cookies. They have such cute and affordable kits at Target. My 2.5-year-old daughter helped decorate and eat them. We had fun making edible masterpieces and making a mess with icing and sprinkles. I think we nailed it! LOL

Santa’s Holiday Cookies

Gingerbread: Our gingerbread house broke because we didn't let the icing harden on the sides. But it turned into a fun Christmas activity where we decorated gingerbread with our cousins. The kids had a great time helping us build the house. Hopefully, we can do this again next year!

Mini Gingerbread House

Holiday Breakfast: Christmas morning - a holiday tree pancake with sprinkles, bringing a delicious start to the day and spreading holiday cheer.

We had a really enjoyable Christmas this year with lots of new experiences. Our daughter had so much fun with the small traditions we started, making this Christmas the most enchanting one so far. It was a year full of new beginnings for our family!

Merry Christmas!
