Our Japan Airlines Experience

I recently flew with Japan Airlines (JAL) for the holidays and was very impressed by their excellent service and comfort. While there are other airlines, I found a good deal with them. Traveling alone with my 3-year-old daughter to Japan (her dad flew back with us) can be tough, but JAL made our trip memorable.
Booking and Check-in Experience
JAL's booking and check-in process was seamless. They sent timely reminders, and their online check-in system was convenient. I appreciated the option to save my boarding pass in the app wallet and simply drop off my bags. That said, I still opted to visit the check-in counter for peace of mind! :)
Cabin Comfort and Seats
The economy seats were roomy and comfortable, equipped with amenities like blankets, pillows, and headphones. We also enjoyed one hour of free in-flight Wi-Fi, with the option to purchase additional connectivity for a longer duration if needed.
Not much to say here, but we're satisfied. It's spacious and clean. :)
They provided cozy blankets and pillows - I didn’t need to carry my daughter’s blanket since I knew JAL had one.
In-flight Meals
While the meals were okay, I appreciated the option to request a kid's meal in advance. What made the experience special was the friendly and playful attitude of the flight attendants, who entertained my daughter and made her feel special.
I wasn’t sure what to call this, but they served a kind of rice crackers and a nut mix for snacks. :)

Customer Service
JAL's customer service was exceptional in every way. The flight attendants were not only friendly but also incredibly attentive and genuinely hospitable, which greatly enhanced our travel experience. Their efforts made our journey both enjoyable and memorable from beginning to end.
One of the flight attendants drew Anpanman on my daughter’s cup. She’s so nice! Unfortunately, I forgot to ask her name.
JAL Original Goods
JAL also offers original giveaway items on board for passengers traveling with babies and small children. On the flight to Japan, my daughter chose a pair of gloves, and on the way back, she happily selected a mini airplane, which is now displayed in her room.
Arrival Experience
Although we had to take a bus transfer to immigration after landing at Haneda Airport, the process was quick and efficient.
Overall, flying with Japan Airlines was a fantastic experience. Their attentive service, comfortable flights, and kid-friendly amenities make them one of the best choices for travelers.
